Accommodation

Enjoy the accommodation at Kentura!
The Kentura Guesthouse and The Kentura Cabin are located in our courtyard by the beautiful Raudanjoki riverbank. These accommodations offer a cozy retreat where the forest starts just outside the premises. Leave the noise and lights of the city behind and come enjoy the peace and quiet with us at The Kentura Reindeer Farm. Some of our reindeer live in the courtyard during the winter season. We have a winter walking track in the nearby forest and a perfect location for spotting the northern lights.

The Guesthouse comprises two bedrooms, a parlour with a combined open kitchen and bathroom. The master bedroom has a 160 cm wide double bed with memory foam hard and medium mattresses. The smaller bedroom has a 140 cm wide double bed.
Each room in this accommodation has a radiator for heating, and additionally, the master bedroom and the parlour have wood-burning stoves for extra warmth. The kitchen is small but has all the necessities. The bathroom has a 60-liter warm water tank.
The guesthouse is an old log house with slightly crooked floors, and we have aimed to use recycled and nature-like solutions in the interior design.

Kentura Cabin offers a unique overnight experience. The accommodation is located within our reindeer enclosure, close to our main courtyard. During the winter season our reindeer live just outside the cabin, and all you need to do is step outside to interact with them.
On a clear winter’s night, you can admire the northern lights from the window and listen to the reindeer bells while the fire roars in the stove. This is a true Arctic experience!
Kentura Cabin is a round log cabin comprising one room. One half of the room is dedicated to sleeping, known as ”peska” in Finnish, and the other half to the kitchen.
For sleeping, there are mattresses, pillows, blankets, and bed sheets. The kitchen has a small gas stove and other necessities for cooking.
Please note: This is a wilderness hut type of accommodation and is not suitable for children. Adults should have basic knowledge of making a fire and using a gas stove, but we will, of course, help you if you have any doubts. The cabin is warmed solely by a wood-burning stove, and to keep warm, it is necessary to add wood during the night as well. There is no electricity or running water. We will provide candles and an LED storm lantern for light, and water in a canister for cooking and drinking. Next to the cabin, there is a dry toilet, known as ”huussi” in Finnish, for guest use.
