The reindeers are really friendly and come close to check if you have any snacks. You might have a chance to pet them if they come to eat from your hand.
We recommend checking out our Meet & Feed experience. Please note that you are not allowed to feed the reindeer anything other than the food we provide.
The farm is located in an area with very little light pollution, making it an excellent place to see the Northern Lights. However, visibility depends on weather conditions and solar activity.
The Farm is located 35 km north of Rovaniemi. Northbound buses pass by the main road, but please note that it is still 1.5 km from the intersection to reach the guesthouse. We highly recommend to drive a rental to get here or take a taxi.
We recommend stopping by a grocery store on your way here. The nearest small village shop (with limited opening hours) is in Vikajärvi. In Rovaniemi city center, you’ll find plenty of grocery stores and supermarkets.
We don’t have a restaurant, as our farm is a small home farm with only basic necessities.
Unfortunately no we do not. However there is everything you need to cook your own breakfast at the Guesthouse and the Cabin.
Both the Guesthouse and the Cabin have bed linens. Towels are provided in the Guesthouse, but not in the Cabin, as there is no running water there (only drinking water).
No, there is no shower in the Kentura Cabin. There is also no indoor toilet but a huussi which is a Finnish-style outdoor dry toilet.
