These general terms and conditions are applied to reservations of The Kentura Reindeerfarm if there is no separate agreement between the customer and the service provider. All reservations are confirmed by email which informs the price of the reservation and ordered products.

Needed customer information is required within the reservation process in order to receive a reservation confirmation. Reservations can be made by adults (persons older than 18 years) only. If a minor is accommodated alone the guardian of the minor will need to inform in written in advance that accommodation is accepted and that the guardian is responsible of the minor and his/her actions. Pets are not allowed.

The products and services include value-added taxes. We reserve the right to changes in the terms and prices. The customer needs to read the valid terms and conditions and accept them before making the reservation.

The Kentura Reindeer Farm handles all customer information confidentially.

Accommodation

Arrival and departure:

Check-in on the arrival date is earliest at 4 p.m. (16:00) and check-out on the departure date is the latest at 12 a.m. (12:00).

Confirmation and payment:

Reservation is considered confirmed when the reservation is fully paid. In case the payment is not received by the due date, we withhold the right to cancel the reservation. Payments are made through an invoice sent via email.

Cancellation of the reservation:

• Cancellation is free if it is done more than 30 days before the check-in date or within 48 hours from the time of booking.
• The refound is 50% of the total payment is the cancellation is done more than between 7 – 30 days before the check-in date.
• No refound if the cancellation is made less than 7 days before the check-in date.
• Cancellation made during the accommodation stay or the discontinuing of the vacation does not give the right for the compensation. Travel insurance is advised to be checked in case of the cancellation of the reservation. If the reservation has caused special expenses of the ordered extra services, they will be fully charged within the cancellation of the reservation.

Changes:

All changes/cancellations to be received by e-mail within the office hours in Finland (Mon-Fri at 9-17, GMT +2).

Refund Policy:

Refunds are processed to the same bank account used for the initial payment. Refund delays may occur in cases of high demand for cancellations. A full refund (100%) is provided if Kentura cancels the booked and confirmed service.

The Farm Animals:

Behavior of animals can never be fully predicted and therefore, in order to reduce risks, safety rules and other instructions have to be obeyed by the customer.

Service language:

English and Finnish.

Other issues:

Kentura reserves the right:

• To adjust prices in the event of a general tax change or other similar factors beyond our control.
• To modify timetables or content due to snow, weather conditions, or other similar reasons.
• In cases of Force Majeure, Kentura reserves the right to charge a maximum office fee of 250 €

Experiences

Confirmation and payment:

Cancellation of the reservation:

More than a week (7 days) cancellation is free.

• More than 48 hours (2 days) before the booked experience starts – 50% from the total fee will be charged.
• Less than 48 hours (2 days) before the booked experience starts – 100% from the total amount is charged.

Changes:

All changes/cancellations to be received by e-mail within the office hours in Finland (Mon-Fri at 9-17, GMT +2).

Refund Policy:

Refunds are processed to the same bank account used for the initial payment. Refund delays may occur in cases of high demand for cancellations. A full refund (100%) is provided if Kentura cancels the booked and confirmed service. No refunds are issued for any unused services, late arrivals, or no-shows by any participants of the activity.

In case of illness:

The reservation will be fully refunded if illness is cited as the reason for cancellation. A medical certificate in Finnish or English must be sent to Kentura within two working days from the cancellation date. For groups of 4 or more, if a participant under 18 years old cannot attend the activity due to illness, one accompanying adult is also eligible for a refund, provided the medical certificate is submitted to Kentura

Animals:

Child rates:

If not otherwise stated in the offer, children of 0-3 years are free of charge. Children of the age 4-12 years are charged 50% of an adult fee.
